Logbook check

When is your next check due?

Every installed transponder is due for a test every 24 months, whether you fly VFR or IFR. If you fly IFR, or VFR in Class B or C airspace, or Class D airspace designated as transponder airspace, your altimeter and static system are due on the same 24-month cycle. Enter the date from your last logbook entry to see when the next one falls, then book ahead so you aren't grounded waiting for a slot.

This is a planning aid only. Your logbook and the regulations are the authority on what applies to your aircraft.
